Ripstar Kite

The course was structured with a strong focus on kiting safe and independently. Clear explanations were given on setting up the kite, launching it, and landing it. Anne was attentive to everyone's needs and assigned tasks based on their skill level. Anne remained calm and provided encouragement where necessary. A very pleasant instructor to get an introduction to kiting from.

Dave helped me take my very first steps in kitesurfing. From safety procedures and building a feel for the kite, to making my first meters on the board and eventually riding back and forth. What I really appreciated was how Dave tailored his coaching to me as a person and adapted perfectly to my learning curve. He doesn't just explain how to do something, but actually demonstrates it—giving you the right body posture and tools to really understand how to improve yourself. He uses a great step-by-step approach and constantly invites you to reflect on what’s going well and what needs adjustment. There was always a perfect balance between explanation, demonstration, practice, and reflection. Thanks to his teaching style, I made huge progress in just one week! Thank you, Dave!

Wendy was professional, she guided me calmly through all the steps off kitesurfing. What she did great was, staying near me en giving tips every time i tried something new. The steps were clear and the coaching was very positive.

Ik heb een fijne week gehad bij deze kiteschool. Ik heb 2x 2 uur les gehad om wat op te frissen en goed de safety weer door te nemen. Verder keken de instructeurs op het water gewoon met je mee als ze zelf ook op het water waren en er was altijd wel tijd voor een tip of een aanmoediging. Het is goed om te zien dat ze zelf ook zoveel plezier hebben!

Afgelopen week ben ik met Ripstar mee geweest op kitecamp naar Denemarken. Aan het begin van de week heb ik een opfrisles gehad van Wendy. Ik gaf aan wat al goed ging en waar ik nog tegenaan liep. Binnen een paar seconden zag Wendy precies wat er beter kon. Haar tips maakten direct verschil en zorgden ervoor dat ik gedurende de week ontzettend veel progressie heb gemaakt. Wat ik daarnaast erg waardeerde, is dat Wendy veiligheid altijd voorop stelt. Ze is een enthousiaste en professionele instructeur die precies weet waar ze het over heeft.

Not going to lie, Dave is one of the best teachers I have had in my life. It was my first time dealing with a kite and as you may know that is a stressful thing to do at first,but it absolutely wasn’t because how chill Dave approached everything. I was able to kite surf within 3 lessons so I think that says it all🙌🙌

L.S., To begin... You must know: I am not the most talented kitesurfer. 45 years old, and not very sporty. Have had some lessons in the past. There I have learned a little. Totally different and less focused lessons then what I have experienced last week. This camp amazed me with with their professional focus towards me. The general vibe was very good. About Dave: Dave is a very good instructor who really managed to see things from my perspective. Gave me the tools and mini-steps to improve myself, while also having fun. His teachingskills are focused, serious and fun. Safety comes first. I admire his focus.. (If you ever read this feedback: Big thanks to you, you were amazing!!) Camp was organized very good. The good vibe the team itself had -> it reflected onto the group (22 persons). And that is the reason I enjoyed myself, and made a lot of progression. I loved it!! Camp Ripstar Denmark : AMAZING!!

Wendy geeft op een hele prettige manier les. Er wordt goed rekening gehouden met de veiligheid en alles wordt op een duidelijke en heldere manier uitgelegd. Elk onderdeel wordt zorgvuldig behandeld en je gaat pas verder als je deze goed onder de knie hebt.

Dave is an outstanding kite instructor! He gives very clear instructions, and his calm and patient approach creates the perfect learning environment. Even outside of official lessons he goes out of his way to check in with everyone individually, making sure they feel comfortable, are progressing well, and are having a great time. I highly recommend taking lessons with Dave!

Wendy is a great instructor. She explains everything clearly and calmly from the very beginning and is patient throughout the learning process. She takes into account where you are in your learning journey and adapts the lessons to your individual needs. At the start of each lesson, she briefly reviews where you left off last time. Her calm and supportive approach makes you feel safe and confident throughout your lessons.
