Dave Bisschop

Dave Bisschop was mijn instructeur. De lessen van hem vond ik erg leuk en leerzaam. Stap voor stap op naar nieuwe doelen. De onderlinge interactie was direct en to the point maar wel één waar successen wel werden gevierd. Deze lessen hebben mij mede doen besluiten om mijn eigen kitegear aan te schaffen😃.

Dave is a relaxed teacher who explains everything well and with a lot of patience. Partly because of that, I wasn't afraid to make mistakes and that gave a good feeling :). Even though there was less wind than expected, I was able to make progress, and that made me happy!

Dave is a fantastic instructor who never lets you get frustrated, even though learning to kitesurf can definitely be frustrating at times. He is incredibly positive and makes sure you learn the right technique from the very beginning. His approach is extremely encouraging, while at the same time he is always honest about where you are in your development and what you still need to work on. He also has an excellent instinct for group dynamics, which is especially valuable when you book him for a kitesurf camp. Beyond kitesurfing, Dave is simply a great person to be around. He is very open-minded, but at the same time he is also able to understand and connect with people who may naturally be less open-minded or have a different perspective. I would absolutely recommend him as an instructor and trainer. And if you are an organisation with the opportunity to hire him, you would be crazy not to.

Dave is een hele sociale instructeur met veel geduld en passie voor wat hij doet. Ik had zelf een aantal opfrislessen nodig en ik moet zeggen dat ik dankzij zijn uitleg en voorbeelden enorme sprongen heb gemaakt. Samen zochten we ook bewust de grenzen op, waardoor ik uit mijn comfortzone kwam en transities heb geleerd, maar ook downloops bij lage power voor een waterstart. Ik kite nu veel zelfverzekerder en met meer souplesse. Dank je wel, Dave!

Dave helped me take my very first steps in kitesurfing. From safety procedures and building a feel for the kite, to making my first meters on the board and eventually riding back and forth. What I really appreciated was how Dave tailored his coaching to me as a person and adapted perfectly to my learning curve. He doesn't just explain how to do something, but actually demonstrates it—giving you the right body posture and tools to really understand how to improve yourself. He uses a great step-by-step approach and constantly invites you to reflect on what’s going well and what needs adjustment. There was always a perfect balance between explanation, demonstration, practice, and reflection. Thanks to his teaching style, I made huge progress in just one week! Thank you, Dave!

Not going to lie, Dave is one of the best teachers I have had in my life. It was my first time dealing with a kite and as you may know that is a stressful thing to do at first,but it absolutely wasn’t because how chill Dave approached everything. I was able to kite surf within 3 lessons so I think that says it all🙌🙌

L.S., To begin... You must know: I am not the most talented kitesurfer. 45 years old, and not very sporty. Have had some lessons in the past. There I have learned a little. Totally different and less focused lessons then what I have experienced last week. This camp amazed me with with their professional focus towards me. The general vibe was very good. About Dave: Dave is a very good instructor who really managed to see things from my perspective. Gave me the tools and mini-steps to improve myself, while also having fun. His teachingskills are focused, serious and fun. Safety comes first. I admire his focus.. (If you ever read this feedback: Big thanks to you, you were amazing!!) Camp was organized very good. The good vibe the team itself had -> it reflected onto the group (22 persons). And that is the reason I enjoyed myself, and made a lot of progression. I loved it!! Camp Ripstar Denmark : AMAZING!!

Dave is an outstanding kite instructor! He gives very clear instructions, and his calm and patient approach creates the perfect learning environment. Even outside of official lessons he goes out of his way to check in with everyone individually, making sure they feel comfortable, are progressing well, and are having a great time. I highly recommend taking lessons with Dave!

Afgelopen trip naar Denemarken heb ik mijn eerste kitesurflessen gevolgd bij Ripstar, met Dave en Linda als instructeurs. En wat waren zij fijn! Ze leggen alles super duidelijk uit, nemen rustig de tijd en zorgen tegelijkertijd voor een gezellige sfeer op en naast het water. Ik heb me geen moment bang of onzeker gevoeld, omdat ik zoveel vertrouwen had in hun begeleiding. Door de 1-op-1 lessen heb ik in korte tijd echt mega grote stappen gemaakt en veel geleerd. De combinatie van goede uitleg, persoonlijke aandacht en vooral veel plezier maakte dit echt een top ervaring! Dikke aanrader!!
