Learning to kite at H2O was amazing. I was a complete beginner and a little apprehensive about learning to kite. I had heard it was very tough and frustrating at the beginning. But our teacher Doug was really fantastic, he explained everything super well, was very thorough and safety-orientated and made it a lot of fun. He also gave us confidence with kiting itself and what to do when things do not go well. It was a great experience.

I could not have asked for a more perfect instructor to introduce me to the sport. Any feelings of nervousness I had before my first lesson quickly disappeared. Doug was friendly, extremely patient and very encouraging. He was also safety-focused and taught all the theory incredibly well. The centre really is a gem located on one of Africa's best beaches. The entire team of staff are welcoming and the facilities are second to none. I'm glad I chose H2O Extreme!

Great learning experience and first time standing up and boarding for a considerable amount of time. The team at H2O is amazing. Due to a hard landing, one of the tubes on the kite broke. I was picked up by their team from the water quickly and brought back to shore where a new kite was ready. I could continue the lesson seamlessly. Doug has high standards and is able to adapt his coaching as my level changed. Loved every minute of it. You are only as good as your instructor and I felt pretty awesome out there!

Doug was a great teacher for us starting from scratch. He managed to motivate us and always gave us good feedback on what to improve or look out for. He focused a lot on safety as well as controlling and learning kite, which helped us once we got started with the board. The school has a great location directly at the beach and the instructors and staff are really nice and help you out when you have questions.

I had the most amazing experience at H20. From the awesome instructors, attention to detail, fantastic gear and kite school employees to the beautiful setting and delicious food at the restaurant and bar at the school. I would recommend this experience to anyone who’s looking for consistent wind and perfect facilities.

I had a very kind and nice instructor, who gave me good and understandable advices to the right time. The spot was also very beautiful and had enough free space available for beginner sessions. A great team that supported us in any need and equipment in good conditions.

Great school in an incredible spot (superb lagoon and beach). Very nice and friendly owners and team of instructors and assistants. Doug is an excellent pedagogue and has supported me in making a great progress in few days. Simple explanations that make everything logical and manageable. Strongly recommended.

I did my first kite course and I can totally recommend it. The school is very professional, helps you choose the best package and is well organized. The kite instructor was very, very good, always motivating and very much to the point with the instructions. They let you develop your kiting skills according to your own pace.

I spent 3 great days in Mui Ne and took 5 hours of training with Douglas at the Kite Tech school. First two days the conditions were a bit strong so pretty sporty, even a bit tough for my level of fitness so we kept sessions short. The third day was easier with smaller waves and I had a lot of fun ! Doug made the school open earlier in the morning so I could benefit from smoother wind and wave conditions. He is very professional and knows what he's talking about. He trusted me to the extend I trusted myself, so I felt really good learning with him. He sees every detail and gives direct feedback, which feels safe and makes you learn more. If I had more time I definitely would have done more! I feel my bases are more solid now, and I'm looking forward to my next session !

Doug did an excellent job. Obviously, you only train the first time once but his focus on safety, core skills and an appropriate pace of learning had us in the word maneuvering with the kite in not time. I really don’t think that is my own personal skill it’s what makes Doug good at what he does he is very observant of your strengths and weaknesses and moves quickly through the things you have down and targets more time in the fine skills that need building. I regret not being able to complete level 3 with Doug, but I next time I know to allow more time. Getting through level two in the two sessions we had was already pushing it, but I appreciate how Doug managed time and training.
