Jame is very passionate guy that easily hooked me to the sport when i have had met him in his shop few month later finally we got to start our courses and was fantastic learning wiht ups and downs but at the end was successful and very beneficial courses I thank Jake and his team for this patience, support and knowledge sharing

Jake is an experienced and very capable teacher. He explains everything clearly and gives lots of time for student practice. He is very safety orientated, he is patient yet also inspiring. He taught me how to kitesurf competently- which basically means that he could teach virtually anybody.

Had a long wait as weather wasn't playing ball but def worth the wait! Jake was super friendly and extremely knowledgable. My aim was to master transitions (which had been a big road block for me), within an hour or 2 I managed a few transitions without dunking! This refresher course has inspired me to keep at it. Looking forward to getting back on the water to put into practice what I have learnt. Thanks Jake!

The 2 hour refresher course was excellent. Jake was amazingly patient with me and was so encouraging. He explained the techniques clearly and supported my efforts. I felt that I progressed well from this lesson and would highly recommend it. From the amount of his ex-students who chatted to him he must be doing something right for all levels of instruction.

Had a 2 hour private lesson. Jake was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and I had a productive and more importantly enjoyable 2 hours with him. Worked on various things and progressed, with real-time feedback via a radio helmet which was really handy. Would use again for further teaching and would recommend to others.

Jake was very approachable and friendly. Explained things concisely and didn't move on to the next part of the course until he felt you were ready. An enjoyable course that I would recommend to anyone thinking about starting kite surfing.

I have been trying to arrange a beginners course into the Kitesurfing sport for over a year now. Phone calls and e mails to various training establishments around the country were not answered Came across Skymonster by chance and the first contact was answered by Jake who was very helpful and positive. Obviously Kitesurfing is wind dependant but within a few weeks we had the course booked. All the kit was provided from wet suit, PPE and Kite. Good quality, clean, well maintained. The course covered everything from detailed description of the equipment, setting up, maintenance, safety issues, rule of the road,and much more before getting near the water. A very practical hands on course with the first day dedicated to launching, landing, safe Kite handling and body dragging exercises. Second day brought the board into play with water starts, further safety exercises and training exercises to develop kite handling. A lot to grasp in a short space of time and although I didn't manage to complete any runs on the board I feel confident that with more targeted practise I will develop with time. Jake provided a written course debrief where he itemised the points I need to concentrate on to develop my water start skills and eventually get moving over the water. An enjoyable couple of days but now I need to get stuck in and build on this :-)

Excellent 1 day refresher course with Jake Oszczepalinski from Sky Monster Watersports. I had done some lessons previously but was not quite ready to go out on my own. Jake was very enthusiastic and was great at fitting the day around where I was at with my Kiteboarding. Was the perfect way to gain a bit of confidence!

Skymonster instructor Jake was enthusiastic, encouraging and knowledgable and gave expert instruction on and off the water. I was looking to improve my transitions and Jake was able to help me progress significantly throughout the day despite the choppy conditions. With the use of a radio headset he could provide guidance as I practiced the manoeuvres, giving instruction on body/weight position, kite and board control. Off the water Jake gave instruction on setting up and caring for equipment as well as advice on appropriate equipment for various conditions/locations, all of which is essential knowledge if you are intending to purchase your own. Jake even seemed to have a wizard like knowledge of the conditions and miraculously found us a window of sunshine on an otherwise wretched day, a rare trick in Scotland. Overall the school provided great service, they responded quickly to any communication and tailored the lesson exactly to my requirements. The equipment was all brand new Cabrinha gear and the facilities were as to be expected at a beach in Scotland. I felt in safe hands at all times and appropriate safety equipment (helmet and buoyancy aid) was provided by the school. I would happily recommend Skymonster to anybody looking for fun and productive kite lessons in Scotland. I look forward to seeing Jake next time I'm at the beach and I'm sure I'll be able to grab a few pointers from him to help continue my progression!

Just done a course with Skymonster at Troon in Scotland. We have done two days and Jake the instructor was totally flexible and scheduled the course when it was convenient for me (but it was obviously wind-dependant as well). Our instructor was very knowledgeable and also fun to work with. Each day was really half a day since it was quite full on in the water for a couple of hours (I think it wold get dangerous being there too long and losing too much energy and concentration). We were only two students (not sure if other schools have more in one session) so there was not much hanging about. We had a little prior knowledge about flying a kite and wind in general which might have made it easier and a bit quicker to go through the very basic stuff. That gave us a lot of time getting to grips with waterstarts and board control on the second day. Got up and riding (of sorts) in the end and had a blast. I feel I now have learned enough to venture out without an instructor and am ready to improve on what I learned. I can certainly recommend Jake and Skymonster!
