Jason is a great teacher. Very patient, and able to clearly explain and communicate instructions, with immediate corrections if needed. Having the headset for wireless communication was a game changer - receiving feedback in real-time “kite out, weight back, board out” etc. in the moment was huge. I made significant progress with Jason.

If you are going to take kite lessons on Oahu, Jason is your guy. Very good and safe teacher. He will teach you everything you need to know, from the equipment, the weather patterns, the riding techniques, etc. You'll progress faster than expected!

This is the perfect setting for kiteboarding with clear blue waves, lots of wind, and a mountain backdrop. Jason was a great instructor who did a great job of balancing the checklist "off the water" learning with "on the water" guidance to get me more confident with staying up on the water with my kite. It felt great to progress out there and get certified!

Jason is a great instructor! I feel much more comfortable with kite control and started connecting the dots with body and board dragging. Wish I had more time to get in more hours, but definitely appreciated my learning journey so far and Jason’s guidance and training.

My lesson with Jason was awesome. He was a very interesting instructor. I could tell he was very knowledgeable about kiting itself, and the important safety measures we needed to take during the lesson. He broke everything down clearly and made sure I understood each step before moving on. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing and cares about his students actually learning, not just rushing through it. He was also really encouraging the whole time, which made the whole experience even better. By the end of the class, I felt like I made real progress and I’m already looking forward to getting back out on the water. I hope I can take a class with Jason again soon!

Before starting, I had zero experience using a kite, but from my very first lesson, Jason provided excellent guidance and support. His calm and clear communication, awesome instruction, and—most importantly—his positive and encouraging attitude made the learning process both enjoyable and effective. I felt progress every step of the way with him! Jason’s patience and ability to break down each step made everything feel achievable, even when I was unsure. He consistently went above and beyond, ensuring I felt comfortable and safe while pushing me to progress. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, and I’m so grateful for his dedication and enthusiasm. Thanks to him, I now have the confidence and skills to kite alone knowing I have the knowledge and skills to keep me safe and have a blast in the water! His imparting knowledge is very in-depth with a continual emphasis on the safety of others and you. In addition I really appreciated the headset communication he provided, which really shows how committed he is to every lesson, as I’ve witnessed other instructor being totally checked out once the student is in the water. Not the case with Jason. He was also so generous with his time going beyond the time frame mostly all the time without any additional charge. This is because he wants to make sure the lesson is complete each time! I highly recommend Jason for any kite lesson!

I took lessons with Jason to get from a complete beginner to an independant level. Every lesson was full of knowledge, was well curated and an absoloute joy to experience. The equipment is top quality (I christened a couple of new kites) and he uses a 2-way radio which was a game changer! My kite courses were difficult yet rewarding. It was difficult because the sport itself has a steep learning curve, and it takes real commitment and time to go through the steps. However, having Jason as an instructor helped me through not only getting a handle on learning and practicing on kitesurfing skills, such as body dragging to retrieve the board, relaunching the kite when it falls on the ocean, but also at times of repeated failure, he was there to encourage me to go on, and do better the next time. Having the communication helmet also enable him to teach me while I am on the ocean, letting me know exactly what to do, and that made me feel safe. Jason is knowledgeable, and can identify what I was doing wrong, and what to correct. Now that I can kitesurf, I am enjoying the reward of gliding on endless blue ocean using the natural energy of a kite. The freedom and adrenaline is priceless.
