IKO Centers commit to operate exclusively with IKO Certified and valid Instructors and Assistants. The Plus membership allows you to organize pro courses straight at your school, which means that you get the opportunity to train your team if they are not already IKO Instructors. By hosting training courses, you can earn up to $3720 USD in 10 days.

How can I edit the price of my Training Event?

You can edit the price of your training event at any time as long as the event is not Accepted by the examiner or Assistant Trainer.

When and where are the next IKO Pro-Training Courses (ATC / ITC/ IEC) organized?

All IKO ATC/ ITCs / IECs are listed on the Training Calendar. Check it regularly for future training dates and locations. The training calendar is updated as soon as new trainings are confirmed.

My school is not an IKO Affiliated Center. Can I organize an ITC or IEC?

Only IKO Affiliated Centers with a Plus plan are allowed to schedule ITCs.

When can I schedule an IKO ITC or IEC?

Only schools with a Plus membership are able to organize ITC and/or IEC’s.You should submit training dates at least 3 months prior to the scheduled training date. Scheduling many months in advance gives you time to advertise and organize well.To schedule one, login to your account, select the tab Training, and click on Add New event.

What can I do if the Candidates cannot afford the ITC training fee?

The ITC organizer has the authority to make a payment agreement. The only set fee is the IKO fee. The Organizer determines the final price based on his expenses.

When and how should ITC Candidates fees be paid to the IKO?

The candidates can pay their IKO fee directly to the IKO through the online booking system. The center fee can be paid directly to the center.Otherwise, organizers will receive an invoice for training fees that are usually sent out after the candidates of the training have been certified. Fees are to be paid to the IKO within 30 days after receiving the invoice. If the invoice is not paid before the due date, the school risks suspension.

How can I attract more Candidates to the ITC or IEC?

Firstly, we recommend you to schedule the ITC at least 1 year in advance. To schedule it, login to your account, select the tab Training, and click on Add New event. You can share the dates of the ITC/IEC on the social media pages of your School. You can also contact [email protected] to request a training alert to be posted on the Instagram and Facebook of the IKO.

What should I do if the Candidates do not meet the ITC prerequisites?

Candidates can only take an ITC course if they meet the prerequisites for it. If an Examiner eliminates a Candidate, the Organizer will refund that Candidate the center fee. The IKO fee is still valid for 1 year and can be used to attend another course once prerequisites have been met.

How soon must I cancel the ITC if I don't have enough Candidates?

If an Organizer does not have enough Candidates to cover the expenses of the course, (s)he must inform the Candidates, the Examiner and the IKO at least 1 month before the start date of the course. The Organizer must reimburse the deposit of the training fee to the Candidates and the expenses of the Examiner.

How many candidates can participate in an ITC?

We recommend a minimum of 4 Candidates. A maximum of 8 Candidates are allowed per ITC. If more than 8 ITC Candidates are accepted in an ITC, The Examiner and the Center will be sanctioned with a deduction of 6 points according to the Chart of Sanctions (Ref. 063).

How much does an ITC cost and who manage the fees?

The recommended price is $1029 but it can vary depending on Organizers' expenses.

The Organizer collects the training fees and pays the following expenses: Examiner salary; Examiner’s travel ticket; IKO training fees to the IKO; and other misc. expenses.

All benefits of the training are insured by the Organizer.

What MFA or CPR courses are accepted by (the) IKO?

First aid/CPR training teaches essential life saving skills that are considered vital for all IKO Instructors.

Any live teaching, including hands on training with a CPR mannequin and drowning rescue is accepeted. The training should be attested by a diploma.

IKO usually offers MFA training courses before each ITC.

IKO will not accept Online MFA / CPR.

The MFA / CPR is considered valid when it has been completed within a period of 2 years.

Who provides the Instructor Manual?

The Examiner will print and bind the Instructor Manual for all the Candidates and the Organizer reimburses him the cost.
