14 &15/06 @ Surf Club Keros As a beginner at kitesurfing, I had the chance to start my training with a very good team of instructors and candidate instructors at Surf Club Keros. The five hours of training were split into two days course. The first day my instructors were Vico and Nicolas and they taught me the first steps in order to set up the kite and to train how to plot the kite in the water. The second day my instructors were Vico and Noah, unfortunately there was no wind, so the course took place on the beach. They trained me for the self rescue. This lesson was very useful and I also had the opportunity to talk more with my instructors, to make questions and to understand better some things from the previous day as well. This short experience of kitesurfing was just the beginning, I'm looking forward to the windy days to continue my training !!

I had no idea what to expect from this class. I was totally impressed with the instructor and the depth of her understanding and commitment to kiting. Maayke Tadema-Andersen taught me so much during this course about kiting and being an assistant instructor. She was extremely knowledgeable about kiting, but also you could tell she has taught for many years because her experience was so helpful in this learning process. She was professional and definitely a great role model for kiters, especially female kiters. She demanded the best from each of us, but still displayed empathy, and compassion. I would highly recommend her to others as an instructor for future IKO courses. Thank you!

I attended the Assistant Instructor Training Coarse at Lake Garda . Trainer was Maayke Andersen. The Training was held at the Wind Riders Kite Center in Limone. Maayke did a great job, she was flexible about the location ( first day it was raining like hell, so she moved the training into her house) and also about the start time of the course ( day 2 and 3 we started at 7 A.M. , because the wind was predicted to be better at that time ). Maayke explained everything very professionally and calm, she took the training very seriously. She answered all questions to my satisfaction. The Training by far exceeded my expectation with regards of content, complexity and seriosity. I am kitesurfing since 19 years but still learned a lot, both on the theorectial side and also on the practical side ( for example to keep my stretched arm more sideway, when doing up wind body drag. I was keeping the arm to far upwind ). Great course, thanks Maayke. And thanks to Wind Riders IKO Center too.
