Cosmin Stefan Arseni

From the very first moment you meet him, you feel how seriously he takes every single aspect of kitesurfing, especially safety and attention to detail. These are clearly his top priorities and they run through absolutely everything he does. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach techniques, he builds your entire kitesurfing mentality: reading the wind & water intelligently, making safe & smart decisions, respecting the environment, and understanding that good progression comes from persistence. He is one of the most dedicated instructors I’ve ever had the pleasure to learn from. Cosmin simply never gives up. Whether you’re struggling with a new maneuver, fighting the wind, or just having an off day, he stays calm, patient, and keeps finding new ways to help you succeed. That persistence is contagious. You start to adopt the same never-give-up mindset yourself.

Cosmin, my instructor, was a huge help during my kite lessons, especially since it was my first time handling a kite. I'm also a sportsman, also instructor of contact sports, but I can honestly say that the instructor I took the course with is one of the best I've ever met. He has a logical methodology, very simple to understand, with clear examples that will make you understand and easily learn everything you need to know for to kite surf. Besides the fact that he speaks and can keep the lessons fluently in 4 languages (Romanian, Italian, Spanish and English), the basic principle from which he starts is "safety first", he ensures that you are always safe throughout the course lessons and that he teaches you every safety elements in this sport. PKS Tenerife was extremely easy to plan and book with. They were super responsive via WhatsApp and let me know about schedules depending on the wind. They were also helpful in suggesting accommodations. My instructor, Cosmin, was very passionate about teaching. He made sure I understood the concepts and that I was comfortable before sending me out into the water to try something new. He was also very efficient in terms of the time spent reviewing on land and practicing in the water. When our two hours were up, we chose to spend an extra hour in the water. He was even thoughtful enough to bring a lunch to share with me. These personal touches go a long way. I feel like I learned a lot in the time we had together and would request for Cosmin again if I'm back in El Medano for kiting.
