Across several instructors we saw accurate level assessment, sensible progression and consistent safety practice — thorough briefings, small groups, rescue boat on alert throughout. The management is visibly present and supervising the base, which shows in how the operation runs day to day. My 15-year-old son went from the early stages to board riding and first transitions within two or three days, with pacing well judged for his age. The centre runs a fully current Duotone fleet and re-rigs riders on both kite and board as conditions change, which clearly helps both learning and safety. The beach club on site also makes it easier to manage sessions sensibly — people rest properly between blocks instead of riding on fatigue. A strong example of what a Pro Center should look like. Während einer Woche durfte ich den Unterricht im Duotone Pro Center in Kiwengwa (Sansibar) bei Abdo geniessen. Danke seiner Erfahrung, seinem riesigen Engagement und seinen präzisen Anweisungen, konnte ich grosse Fortschritte erzielen und hatte riesigen Spass.

I spent a lot of time at Duotone Pro Center Kiwengwa during my stay in Zanzibar, and it became one of my favorite places on the island. The whole team is amazing – friendly, relaxed, professional, and always ready to help. I already had some kitesurfing experience when I arrived, but with their help, advice, and tips on the water, I improved my riding a lot and became much more confident. You can really feel that they love what they do and genuinely want you to progress and enjoy your time on the water. I brought my own kite equipment and stored it at the center throughout my stay. Everything was easy, convenient, and safe, and the prices were very reasonable. Having my gear directly on the beach and ready to go whenever the wind picked up made the whole experience even better. The center is not only about kitesurfing – they also offer wing foiling and windsurfing, so there are plenty of options depending on the conditions and what you want to try. But what I will remember most is the atmosphere and the people. You don't feel like just another customer here – you feel welcome from the first day and quickly become part of the family. Great people, great vibes, professional service, fair prices, and an amazing spot for watersports in Zanzibar. Als offizielles Duotone Pro Center steht hier nur erstklassiges Material zur Verfügung – besser geht es nicht! Ich habe innerhalb von ca. 8 Stunden gelernt, sicher zu foilen. Dieses Gefühl, nahezu schwerelos übers Wasser zu fliegen, ist einfach unbeschreiblich – pure Faszination! Besonders gut fand ich, dass wir gezielt auch vom Boot aus das Starten auf dem Foil geübt haben. Das hat den späteren Teil des Kurses enorm erleichtert, als es darum ging, Wing und Foil sicher miteinander zu kombinieren. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an meinen Lehrer Omar. Er ist extrem geduldig, kompetent und versteht es, die Technik verständlich zu erklären. Mit seiner ruhigen und motivierenden Art sorgt er dafür, dass man schnelle Fortschritte macht und gleichzeitig Spaß hat. Ich kann den Kurs und vor allem Omar absolut weiterempfehlen – für alle, die das Wingfoilen lernen oder ihre Technik verbessern wollen, ist das Duotone Pro Center Zanzibar genau die richtige Adresse!

Very good service and support from DUOTONE Kite Centre in Kiwengwa! Andrej was very helpful in arranging everything for us and very accommodating considering we were based elsewhere in Zanzibar. As a beginner, I highly recommend to start kiting in Zanzibar at the Duotone Pro Center. My instructor Cosmas was very professional and patient with me and managed to fulfill one of my sream to learn how to kitesurf. I will be back next year to continue with this great sport. Best regards Morten

I enjoyed every minute of my kitesurfing journey there. Everyone at the school was very helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to make kitesurfing happen for me. One day, they took me to the ocean by boat to catch more wind. I really appreciated their help with setting up, carrying and securing the equipment. They also always watched me and I felt safe since I wasn't a professional yet.
