Rômulo made me feel safe even though I was beginning in harsher winds with a lot of waves. He was chill and patient and encouraged me all the way. When seeing I was struggling he got into the water to help me out. His instructions and corrections were essential to my progression. I would definitely come back and do more classes with him. He clearly knows what he’s doing it make sure to make a lot of questions to take the most out of his knowledge. As he knows a lot sometimes he was too fast explaining but as soon as I ask for clarification he would promptly and happily give it ! Also I’m autistic and dyslexic and he was so kind to instruct me with adaptations like telling me colors to point directions instead of telling “right and left”. Love it ! Super cool guy!

I had a really great experience learning kitesurfing at Footloose Surf Club. My instructor, Rômulo, was very friendly, patient and professional. He explained everything clearly and always took the time to make sure I understood what to do. Whenever I had trouble with something, he would calmly explain it again or find an easier way to explain it. I especially appreciated that he didn't just explain things in theory, but also demonstrated them, so I could actually see how they should be done. He was always attentive during the lessons and ready to help whenever I needed it. The whole team at Footloose Surf Club was also very friendly and welcoming, from the people at the reception to the instructors and boat drivers. All the equipment needed for the lessons was provided and everything was in excellent condition — a lot of it honestly looked almost new, which shows that it is very well maintained. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Footloose Surf Club and felt comfortable and well supported throughout my lessons. I had a great experience learning with Rômulo and with the rest of the team, and I would definitely recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn kitesurfing.

I couldn’t have asked for a better kite instructor than Romulo. From the very first lesson, he made me feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. His patience, professionalism, and passion for kitesurfing made every session both enjoyable and incredibly rewarding. What I appreciated most was how calm he stayed, even when I made mistakes. He always broke down challenging skills into simple, manageable steps, making it easy to build confidence without ever feeling overwhelmed. He knew exactly when to encourage me and when to push me just enough to help me progress. Safety was always his top priority, and I always felt I was in great hands. He also adapted each lesson to the wind conditions and to my pace, which made the whole learning experience feel personal and effective. Thanks to Romulo, I went from being a complete beginner to feeling confident on the water. I’m truly grateful for everything he taught me and for making my first kitesurfing experience such a positive one. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking to learn or improve their kitesurfing skills!

Romulo was my first kitesurfing teacher and i absolutelly loved it! He was very clear on what to do, I always felt safe with him. He also made lessons super fun! And i would reccomend him to anyone who is thinking about learning this sport. With him you will see quick progress! It's also so impressing seeing him on the water with a kite he's a pro!

Second time learning with Rômulo, and once again it was amazing! My progress with him has been so much faster than I expected. I honestly don’t think I’d be riding upwind already without his coaching. Super patient and always knows exactly what tip you need to improve. Can’t recommend him enough.

I had my first kite lessons in Croatia with Rômulo as my instructor. I always felt save even though it was my first time ever trying to handle a kite in the water. Rômulo was really paying attention to what I was doing in order to give me the tips I needed. With his fun and easy going character he made it fun and the time literally flew by. So in case you need a good instructor which is fun and gives you the right tips to improve your level, he's the man. ✌🏻😎

Rômulo is an amazing instructor. I wasn't expecting to feel so safe and comfortable. He guided me meticulously, and I was able to ride the board during my second lesson. I had five lessons with him, and it only got better with each one. Thank you for the experience—I can't wait to do it again!

Romulo is the one of the best watersports instructors i had, everything was clearly explained from his side and the coaching along my progress curve was very smooth with his tips. I was able to get riding by myself in 4 lesson-hours 🙌 Can only recommend him as an Instructor, you will not miss!

Rômulo was a great instructor. He was paitient, calm, easy to talk to and explained everything in a way that was very easy to understand. What I liked the most was his teaching style. He always explained, demonstrated but then also give me time to try it myself, instead constantly correcting every little thing. That really helped me build confidence and improve faster. With him I always felt safe on the water and had a lot of fun during the lessons. I would definitely recommend him as an instructor to everyone!

Rômulo is an amazing instructor (10/10!!). He is skilled, friendly and calm. He gives clear instructions and tips during the kitesurfing lesson. But he also gives you time and space to process the feedback he provides. Throughout the week, he regularly asks for feedback on his teaching style to make sure I feel comfortable in his lesson. Rômulo encourages you and is genuinely and visibly happy when you make progress. And on top of that, his passion for water sports is truly contagious! I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!
