One of the great advantages of being a certified IKO Instructor is that you can purchase a comprehensive instructor insurance coverage plan through IKO.

The new IKO Instructor Insurance policy, released February 16, 2009, is better than ever. The new and improved policy covers you for third party liability while teaching, as well as for third party liability during private kiteboarding. In addition, the new policy also includes private accident coverage.

Coverage is valid worldwide for kiteboarding, snowkiting and powerkiting - so whatever sport you teach, this plan has you covered.

As an IKO Instructor, you can also earn Product Points for referring your students to the My IKO Member Plan (which includes Kiteboarder Insurance). Be sure to work on the safe side by encouraging your students to get their own accident insurance policy! For every referral you make, you earn Product Points, good for select IKO goods and services.
