BACKGROUND: Joseph started kiteboarding in 2000. He started competing as an amateur and turned pro in 2002. He achieved good results in both major pro tours KPWT and PKRA, and was crowned South American Champion (2003) and Brazilian National Champion (2002 & 2003).

EXPERIENCE: Competed in windsurfing for 6 years. Started Kitesurfing in 2000. Qualified as Level 1 Instructor in April 2001 and rose to Examiner in June 2006.

EXPERIENCE: Originally from Australia, lives in Hawaii and has been teaching water sports professionally for well over 20 years. Started sailing at age 6 , windsurfing at 12, surfing at 14, and Scuba diving at 15. He started teaching windsurfing at age 17, and worked his way up to Master windsurfing instructor for the AYF (Australian Yachting Federation). He learned Kiteboarding from Flash and other kitesurfing pioneers, opened the first kitesurfing school in Hawaii in 1997 and has been teaching kiteboarding ever since.

BACKGROUND: University Degree in Education. 7 years experience as a school teacher. Lives in Thailand for the last 8 years. Practices Kiteboarding.

EXPERIENCE: Been running his kiteboarding school and organizing ITC's since 2009. Taught physical education and English in Sweden and Thailand.

JOB: Full-time kiteboarding instructor, as well as partner and school manager of Xkite schools in Italy and Egypt.

BACKGROUND: Degree in Economics; experience in snowboarding, skiing, diving, paragliding, and other sports.

EXPERIENCE: Started kiting in 1999, then became an IKO Instructor in Australia in 2003, and has been teaching all around the world since then.

JOB: Founder and Manager of ACCROKITE in La Palmyre, France.

BACKGROUND: Teaching sailing since 15 years old. French sailing certificate and professional FFVL certificate for kiting. Has deep passion for gliding sports and is a professional skipper, sailing instructor trainer and FVL trainer for professional kiting certifications. Currently, teaches in Brazil, the French West Indies and France.

EXPERIENCE: Kiting since 1997 in Brittany. Teaching with IKO since 2006.

JOB: Founder and owner of the first kitesurf school in Miami: Miamikiteboarding. Also owner of a hobie cat club: Miamicatamarans.

BACKGROUND: Sailing and windsurfing National French degree Instructor. 10 years of racing and coaching from Europe to the Caribbean. Degree in Commerce and Communication. Children Educator degree. 20 years of Rugby.

EXPERIENCE: Started kitesurfing in 2001 and set up the school the same year. Co-organized the key West / Cuba world record distance in Kitesurfing. Kite For Girls Event each year in Miami.

JOB: Founder and Owner of Escoladekitesurf.com; IKO Examiner.

BACKGROUND: Degree in Marketing Management. Currently completing program in electronic/ computer engineering. Practices surfing and kiteboarding.

EXPERIENCE: Started kiteboarding in 2002 and set up his school the following year. Competed professionally in 2003, 2004 and 2005, earning 3rd place in the 2005 KPWT World Tour Event in Cabo Frio, Brazil.

JOB: Urban Surf Kiteboarding School Owner/ Manager.

BACKGROUND: Teaching Degree in Physical Education & Masters Degree in Outdoor Education. Before kiteboarding he has taught windsurfing, climbing and snowboarding. Has International Instructing experience in Maui, Gorge, Australia & Thailand.

EXPERIENCE: Kiteboarding since 2000, IKO Instructor 2006, IKO Examiner 2011, First Aid Instructor.

BACKGROUND: Outdoor sportsman that enjoys pretty much anything involving a board (except ironing). Kiting (& totally hooked) since 2003, IKO Instructor 2006, IKO Examiner & First Aid Provider.

EXPERIENCE: Instructing and managing tennis programs since the age of 15, Chris developed his international teaching skills with various great mentors across Australia, Hong Kong, U.S.A. and throughout the Caribbean. He combined this passion for teaching with his addiction to kiting in 2006 and has since developed his kiting business from a standard school into a thriving club, shop and school, creating a great community of like-minded kiters and bringing them together regularly. Chris' club tours have taken him to various destinations around the globe; this year Fiji and Aitutaki (Cook Islands) were standouts!

JOB: IKO Kiteboarding Instructor and Examiner, MFA/CPR Instructor, Snowboard and Ski Instructor.

BACKGROUND: Was self employed in real estate and financial planning before becoming a full-time kiteboarding instructor. Has been teaching snowboarding and skiing all over Austria since 1995.

EXPERIENCE: Alpine Snowboard and Ski Instructor for 8 years. Started kiteboarding in 2002, and has been teaching kiteboarding full time since 2005. Has taught in the Dominican Republic, Spain, Austria, Hawaii, Vietnam, Egypt, and Mauritius.

BACKGROUND: Three year kiteschool owner on Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles and full-time instructor. Now IKO Rep and Examiner for the Netherlands. Owner of an IT company in the Netherlands.

EXPERIENCE: Kiteboarding since 2002 and fulltime IKO Instructor since 2005. Examiner since 2007.
